What it is

IBStore is a desktop application that runs entirely on the shop's own computer. Every sale, report and receipt keeps working when the internet doesn't, because nothing depends on it. The data lives in a single local database file that belongs to the owner — not to a server somewhere else.

It isn't a generic template with a shop skin. Choosing a store type during setup switches on the modules that trade actually needs, creates its starting categories, and sets tax and currency — then hides everything else, so a pharmacy never sees kitchen tickets and a café never sees prescription fields.

Offline by design

No internet.
No excuses.

This isn't a cloud app with an offline mode bolted on. It has no server to lose contact with.

Everything is local. The database is a single SQLite file in the machine's app-data folder.
One outbound call, ever. An optional IQD/USD exchange-rate lookup — read-only, and the app works normally if it fails. No business data leaves the machine.
Licensed per machine with a signed offline licence file. No activation server to phone home to.
Fast on years of history — synchronous local reads, no network round-trip on any screen.

Security

Built like the
money matters.

Because it does. The threat model was written before the features were.

PINs hashed with scrypt and compared in constant time; repeated failures are rate-limited and audited.
Permissions re-checked on every call — a demoted or deactivated account loses access on its next action, not its next login.
Totals recomputed server-side. A tampered tablet on the WiFi cannot post its own price — the machine recalculates and rejects mismatches.
No duplicate sales from a dropped WiFi retry — idempotency keys plus unique indexes.
Audit log cannot be edited — no update or delete path exists for it, by design.
Optional encryption at rest for the database file, so physical access to the PC isn't access to the books.
